Jönköping District Court is looking for preparation lawyers
We are now looking for two preparation lawyers to be placed in the adjudicating departments.
Job Responsibilities
Jönköping District Court has over 60 employees, including 14 judges (regular judges and assessors). The court is divided into three departments: two adjudicating departments and one administrative department. The adjudicating departments are led by chief judges.
The court has decided to develop its organization for the preparation of cases by hiring two preparation lawyers who will be part of the preparation process. There will be one preparation lawyer in each adjudicating department.
As a preparation lawyer, you will independently and in consultation with judges and court administrators prepare and handle civil and criminal cases. Your responsibilities will also include deciding cases and proposing judgments and decisions when you do not have the authority to rule. The court's preparation lawyers will also have overall responsibility for the work and training of clerks and will play an important role in developing the court's procedures for handling cases. As a preparation lawyer, there will be opportunities to chair hearings in criminal and civil cases.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is qualified as a clerk from the district court and has very good legal knowledge and a high work capacity. The job requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and good judgment. You should be stress-resistant, flexible, and able to prioritize among your tasks. Since you will participate in the training of clerks and court administrators, it is important that you have good pedagogical skills.
You are open, driven, and interested in developing and improving operations. You should have well-developed collaboration skills and contribute to a good atmosphere in the workplace. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the state’s fundamental values.
Your application should consist of a personal letter, CV, clerk certificate, and diploma from the education you refer to. You must be qualified as a clerk on the day you start the employment, but it is acceptable to submit your application before you have completed your clerkship.
